THE ROLE

You'll lead platform architecture on one flagship account — a freight network moving $2B a year — owning everything from the deploy pipeline to the 3 a.m. pager. Team of five, all senior, no layers between you and the client's CTO.

01Own architecture and delivery for a single client platform end-to-end — no context-switching across accounts.
02Set and defend reliability budgets; you decide when we ship and when we harden.
03Mentor two senior engineers toward staff scope; review every consequential design.
04Represent engineering directly in client architecture reviews — no account manager translation layer.
YOU, PROBABLY
—8+ years building and running production systems, with the incident scars to prove it.
—Deep in at least one cloud (we run AWS and GCP) and honest about the gaps in the others.
—You've owned a migration or rebuild that couldn't be paused — and landed it.
—Comfortable saying "no" to a client with a better alternative in hand.
—Written communication strong enough to replace a meeting.
